We're an award-winning advertising agency on Austin Business Journal's 2019 list of top women-owned agencies. We have a variety of clients across a wide range of industries, so there are lots of opportunities to do work for different audiences and platforms, from print and interactive to social and outreach marketing.
And because we’re growing, it’s a great chance to get in on the ground floor (technically, the 6th floor). Speaking of our office, our home base is at WeWork, so you get perks like kombucha on tap, coffee, fruit water, snacks, and beer. Plus, every Merrygood employee also gets a parking pass at the Long Center, which comes in handy if you want free parking for the symphony, ballets and concerts.
Sr. Art Director
Part Time, Contract
About the Role
This role is an important one as it serves as an extension to the owner/creative director. This Art Director will provide critical support to help the team knock out fabulous creative for our many clients.
Who We're Looking For
Someone with 3+ years experience in digital design, taking websites and more from concept to completion. The ideal candidate also loves problem-solving, working with a small team and longs to check things off a to-do list. If you get inspired creating top-notch, award-winning creative for clients ranging from cookie companies and tattoo care to high tech and healthcare, let’s talk.
Developing multiple creative concepts to answer strategic business challenges
Carrying an established look and feel through new pages of a website
Print design (Brochures, editorial, packaging, collateral, etc.)
Digital Marketing (Banners, social ad campaigns)
Occasional brand development (logo creation, brand palette, etc.)
Social media content creation
Production work (Banner production, design updates and content additions to current client websites)
What a Typical Day is Like:
You'll work with the creative director on a variety of projects that may range from creating designs for a website to designing business cards or brochures. Most of the work will be interactive, so site design experience is a must. We have regular team check-ins, but we like to keep meetings to a minimum so we have time to focus, be heads down and make progress. Because of that, the right candidate is a self-starter who can communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and receive constructive criticism well. We work in a fast-paced environment, and while we've been known to take a kombucha break or two, we're a really focused crew that's goal oriented and deadline driven.
