We sketched out a fast-growth digital sales strategy that made the Tattoo Goo After Care Kit the number #1 selling tattoo-healing product in Walmart. And that was just the beginning of this beautifully designed revenue revamp.
Drawing Mass Appeal
Like a great tattoo, a website needs to be clean, clear and perfectly positioned. We created an umbrella design that would appeal to everyone from the tattoo curious to the tattoo fanatics. No more blurry presentation or navigation. Just a clean canvas for big, bold product photos and fresh content that maximized the possibility of sales from all the new traffic we were driving there. In a 6-month span, site visitors and engagement dramatically increased.
A Social Media Strategy That Just Doesn’t Fade
Tattoo Goo needed to establish social media presence to capture and keep the interest of its millennial target audience. Partnering with Red Fan Communications, we inked out a strategy that resulted in 12% month-over-month organic follower growth on Instagram in the first 3 months alone. That month-over-month growth continued at 8% for more than a year. In the same timeframe, the Facebook platform went from zero fan-followers to over 107,000, with 20,000 of them being reached monthly. Consistent yet creative communication, where-to-buy messaging and influencer marketing were brought to life with vibrant photo shoot images that perfectly captured the products and the people that use them.
More Digital Ad Bang for Less Buck
Tattoo Goo had spent a lot of money on banner ads when they came to us, but weren’t seeing the results they expected. We developed a highly targeted system of social media ads for increasing reach and driving conversion — without increasing spend. Through optimized testing, we were able to home in on 750,000 people in the company’s target market profile in just 1 year. Once on the Tattoo Goo site, more than 30% of them clicked through to a product buy.
